Hyundai Motor India tops as the biggest IPO by issue size: Here's how others stack up

Amid IPO flood in a buoyant market, the latest IPO by the auto major Hyundai India is set to break all the previous records in terms of IPO issue size. The issue with an IPO size at Rs 26,870 crore is set to open for public subscription on October 15.

Here are the other public issues which were the biggest in terms of issue size.

Next on the list, the IPO of PSU metals company Coal India which came up with a issue of Rs 15,199 crore. The issue received stellar response and was listed at a premium of 39 per cent against the IPO issue price.

Anil Ambani-led utility company came up with a public issue of Rs 11,563 crore. The issue was unveiled just ahead of the global Lehman Brother crisis. The issue received a whopping subscription of over 73 times.
