After 2024 turned out to be an outstanding year for India's IPO market, issues worth Rs 2 lakh crore are expected next year. As many as 91 companies in 2024 raked in Rs 1.6 lakh crore through the primary market issuances. This is a sharp increase over Rs 58,827 crore raised in the preceding year.

From January 1 to December 18 2024, a record-breaking 319 IPOs were launched across both the mainboard and SME segments, significantly surpassing the 243 IPOs in 2023.

As per Zee Business research inputs, 2024 recorded the highest fund raise after 2021 wherein as many as 63 companies raised a total of Rs 1.18 lakh crore.

Also, the inputs stressed that in 2024, the most number of draft red herring prospectus were filed with the SEBI for the IPO offer.

A total of 34 companies have received SEBI's go-ahead to raise a total of Rs 41,462 crore through the IPO issuances. Additionally, 55 more companies are waiting to mop up a whopping sum of Rs 98,672 crore.
