Domestic Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have released petrol and diesel prices for Saturday, 17 July, 2021. Petrol prices have been increased again, while diesel prices remained unchanged on Saturday. As per Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), petrol got costlier by 30 paise on Saturday, while diesel prices were stable at Friday's rates. Since 2017, petrol and diesel prices are revised daily and effected at 6 am in the morning. Earlier, petrol and diesel costs were revised on fortnightly basis.

With this revision in rates, petrol got costlier in all metro cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.  In the national capital petrol price climbed to Rs Rs 101.84 per litre, a hike of 30 paise.

DELHI – Petrol: Rs 101.84 per litre | Diesel: Rs 89.87 per litre    

MUMBAI - Petrol: Rs 107.83 per litre | Diesel: Rs 97.45 per litre 

KOLKATA - Petrol: Rs 102.08 per litre and Diesel: Rs 93.02 per litre  

CHENNAI – Petrol: Rs 102.49 per litre, while Diesel Price: Rs 94.39 per litre 

Petrol and diesel prices are revised by state-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum on a daily basis. Fuel rates vary from state to state, depending on indices of tax, global crude oil prices and rupee-dollar exchange rates.
