Anchor investors fall under the category of qualified institutional buyers. An institution, mutual fund house or pension fund house can be anchor investors. According to the rules applicable from April 1, anchor investors will not be able to sell their 50% stake for 90 days but they will be able to sell the remaining 50% in 30 days.
