Realme PaySa users will soon be able to make UPI-based transactions, suggests a new tweet from company CEO Madhav Sheth. The company has apparently started testing the UPI feature internally. The Realme CEO shared a screenshot confirming the new feature and hinted that it can soon be available for all the users of the app.
“Guys, happy to share that our internal test of 1st UPI payment transfer via @realme_PaySa App was successful! We will bring it for you guys soon. #JebMeinPaySaTohTensionKaisa,” Sheth tweeted on Wednesday afternoon.
The tweet also suggests that Realme has partnered with HDFC Bank & NPCI to enable the new experience. However, it suggests that it is currently in a testing phase and will soon be available for end users.
Launched in December last year, the platform offers micro personal loans between Rs 8,000 and Rs 1 lakh to individuals, business loans up to Rs 2 crores and screen insurance. In 3 months since launch, the app has crossed 150k users and has a user rating of 4.2 on Google Playstore. During the launch itself, realme PaySa had mentioned its foray into UPI based payments in the months to come.

Backed by Oppo-owned fintech startup FinShell, the app offers lending services, screen insurance, and personal loans. It also provides credit reports via CreditMantri. All these features are making the Realme PaySa app a compelling option against Xiaomi's Mi Credit.
In order to build its strong presence and compete against existing competitors, realme PaySa may soon be announcing UPI in addition to its portfolio of offerings.
