Power Breakfast: Global Markets - Asian Shares, US Futures Rise On Debt Ceiling Deal
The Global Markets surged after U.S. President Joe Biden and Republican Kevin McCarthy reached a tentative deal to raise the debt ceiling. Dow jumped 330 points on Friday after declining for 5 consecutive days. Whereas, the Nasdaq rose 2%. Asian markets jumped 1-1.5%. A vote on the deal is possible in the US Congress on May 31. The US debt limit was extended for the next 2 years. Citi upgraded US shares to neutral from underweight.
