IndiGo Fuel Surcharge: Shares Soar as Investors Bet on Higher Revenue | Stock Market News

Shares of InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo Airlines, soared on Friday after the airline announced a fuel surcharge of Rs 300–Rs 1,000 on domestic and international flights. The stock rose 2.11%, or Rs 52.15, to close at Rs 2,526.85.The fuel surcharge is expected to help IndiGo offset the rising cost of aviation fuel. The airline has been struggling with profitability in recent months due to high fuel costs and other factors.
