Final Trade: Stock Markets Closed Sharply; Nifty Above 16,600, Sensex Adds More Than 1000 Points

On the first day of the week i.e. today, the Indian stock markets closed sharply. The Sensex saw a rise of 1041.08 points and the index closed at the level of 55,925.74. Apart from this, the Nifty 50 index also closed with a green mark. There was a rise of 308 points here and this index managed to close above 16,600.
