Final Trade: Stock market closed flat, Nifty below 16600, Sensex slips 49 points

The stock markets closed flat. The Sensex saw a fall of 48.88 points i.e. 0.09 percent and the index closed at the level of 55,769.23. Apart from this, the Nifty 50 index also closed below the level of 16,600 with a fall of 43 points or 0.26 percent.
