Final Trade: Stock market breaks down with heavy fall, Nifty below 15,850, Sensex drops 1300 points

Indian stock markets closed with a fall during Thursday's trading session due to poor cues from global markets and heavy selling in IT and metal stocks. Weekly expiry i.e. on Thursday, the stock market broke down with a heavy fall and Sensex and Nifty have seen a fall of about 3%. There was a fall of 1416.30 points in the Sensex and the index closed at the level of 52,792.23. Apart from this, the Nifty 50 index also saw a fall of more than 400 points and the index closed near 15,800. During today's trading session, buying is being seen in 857 shares, while 2,469 shares saw a sell-off and there was no change in 121 shares.
