Final Trade: Sensex slips below 65000 in intraday, investors suffer huge losses

Stock Market: Vigorous action was seen in the stock market on the day of weekly expiry. Major indices closed in the red due to weak global cues. BSE Sensex has fallen by 542 points and closed at 65,240. The index also slipped to 64,963 in intraday. Similarly, the Nifty also closed down 135 points at 19,391. Earlier on Wednesday (August 2), a sharp decline was recorded in the Indian market. BSE Sensex closed down 676 points at 65,782.
