The BSE Sensex was up 831 points or 1.4 percent to close at 60138.46, while Nifty50 jumped 258 points or 1.46 percent to settle the day at 17929.65. The steel production company SAIL has reported a 995% YoY rise in the consolidated profit at Rs 4,304 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 393 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Bajaj Auto witnessed a drop of 14% in total sales at 4,39,615 units in October 2021 compared to 5,12,038 units in October 2020. Total sales include domestic sales of 2,18,565 units and exports of 2,21,050 units, lower by 22% and 4% respectively over October 2020.
