A corporate may raise capital in the primary market by way of an initial public offer, rights issue or private placement. An Initial Public Offer (IPO) is the selling of securities to the public in the primary market. It is the largest source of funds with long or indefinite maturity for the company, as per the official website of National Stock Exchange (NSE). The IPOs kept the street busy this year with their debut.

Manoj Dalmia, Founder and Director, Proficient equities Private limited said, "IPO’s performed very well in this current year these IPO’s were mostly futuristic companies from sectors like IT, Analytics, Advance defence, API pharma companies, payments platforms etc." He further added that the same trend can be expected coming ahead as companies like  Delhivery, Pharmeasy, Oyo Rooms, Snapdeal MobiKwik, Ixigo plan to raise about Rs 260 bn in the coming months. Many of these companies are common brand names and might receive a good response, especially from tech-savvy people.

January
1) Stove Kraft Limited - The issue start date was January  25, 2021 and the issue end date was January 28, 2021. The price range was between Rs 384 to Rs.385.

2) Home First Finance Company India Limited - The issue start date was January  21, 2021 and the issue end date was January 25, 2021. The price range was between Rs 517 to Rs.518.

3) Indigo Paints Limited - The issue start date was January  20, 2021 and the issue end date was January 22, 2021. The price range was between Rs 1488 to Rs.1490.
