What is different about Muhurat trading?
To put it precisely, other than duration, the Muhurat trading session is just like any normal trading session. While normally the market opens at 9:15 am and ends at 3:30 pm every day from Monday to Friday, the Muhurat trading is conducted for about one-sixth of those hours in a normal session. This is because its date and timings are based entirely on the ‘muhurat’—or a specific time considered auspicious in Hindu tradition, depending on planetary positions.
