Domestic stock markets were trading with a marginal fall in Tuesday’s noon deals. At 12:45 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at a loss of 51.94 points or 0.11% at 47,897.48, while the Nifty 50 index was trading 9.05 points or 0.06% lower at 14,30.40. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

Vaccine and Pharma Stocks: Nifty Pharma index was trading at a gain of 1.74%. Panacea Biotec Limited – hit 10% upper circuit, Dr Reddy's – up 4.54%, Pfizer – 3.63%, Cadila – up 3.04% and Gland Pharma – up 0.67%. Key features of the ‘Liberalised and Accelerated Phase 3 Strategy of COVID-19 vaccination’ that will start from May 1, 2021, is positive for vaccine manufacturers. 

Everest Kanto – Hit 10% upper circuit and trading 17.99% up. It is an Oxygen cylinder supplier. 

Linde India: Down 1.03%. It is also an Oxygen cylinder supplier. 

Insurance stocks

Life Insurance Stocks: ICICI Prudential – up 9.94%, HDFC Life – 2.79%, SBI Life – 0.99%. Life Insurers report 70% growth in March premium collections. 

ICICI Prudential: Buzzing and up 9.94%. Reported a 64% YoY fall in profits at Rs 63.78 crore for the quarter ended Q1FY21. The net premium income grew 13% to Rs 11,879 crore and the Value of New Business (VNB) for the quarter grew 26% YoY to Rs 591 crore. 

Cement stocks

Cement Stocks: Cement Stocks, like Ambuja Cement, Heidelbergcement India Ltd – up 2.35%, Birla Corporation Limited – 0.93%, India Cements Ltd – up 1.76%, are buzzing after ACC Results. 
ACC Limited: Up 0.27%. Reported 74% YoY rise in profit at Rs 557 crore for the period ended March 31, 2021 (Q1 CY21). The company’s revenue grew 22.7% to Rs 4,213.2 crore while the margin grew to 18.5%. 

Earnings today

Nestle India: Trading with a loss. It is scheduled to release its quarterly earnings today.

Tata Steel Long Products: Up 2.74%. It is scheduled to release its quarterly earnings today.

Welspun Investments and Commercials: Up 2.64%. It is scheduled to release its quarterly earnings today.

Tech Mahindra: Down 1.39%. The board has approved the proposal to acquire a 100% stake in DigitalOnUs, Inc. ('DigitalOnUs') through its wholly-owned subsidiary viz. Tech Mahindra (Americas) Inc. for a total consideration of up to USD 12 crore (Rs 900 crore). 

Vedanta: Up 0.26%. LIC increases its stakes from 5.58% to 5.75% in Vedanta. 

Granules India: Up 0.67%. The promoter has redeemed 17.93 lakh pledged shares.
