TCS Share Dividend 2023 News, TCS Dividend Record Date 2023: IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will release the third quarter result later this month. The Tata Group company has also announced that it would consider the third interim dividend of the fiscal. 

The company has already fixed the record date for the payment of the dividend. According to a regulator filing, the record date for determining the eligibility of investors for receiving the dividend amount is January 17.

In its regulatory filing on December 30, TCS said, "The third interim dividend, if declared, shall be paid to the equity shareholders of the company whose names appear on the Register of Members of the Company or in the records of the Depositories as of Tuesday, January 17, 2023, which is the Record Date fixed for this purpose."

TCS shares will trade ex-dividend date on January 16. Generally, an ex-date is a date prior to the record date.

A person should buy a company's shares before the ex-date so that shares are credited to the Demat account before the record date to receive the benefits of corporate actions like dividend, bonus, split and others.

TCS is slated to kickstart earnings season by releasing its quarterly result (third quarter, Q3FY23) on January 9.

TCS has a strong track record of paying dividends to its shareholders. The company paid dividends to its shareholders on three occasions in the current financial year.

While TCS paid a final dividend of Rs 22 in May, the IT giant paid interim dividends in July and October, each Rs 8.
