Stocks to buy today: List of 20 stocks to buy on February 9 for profitable trade

Snapping three days losing streak, the Indian markets returned to settle in the green as the benchmarks saw sharp recovery in the last hour before closing of the trading session on Tuesday. Headline indices gained 0.31% and 0.33% respectively as metal, pharma and PSU Bank led the market's recovery. Auto, financial services, Nifty Bank and healthcare too ended in the green.  

"Bulls managed to hold the psychological 17000 level after a fight with the bears. On the daily chart, Nifty has formed a dragonfly Doji pattern suggesting buying at the lower levels. The recovery in the market may continue as long as the index holds above 17000. On the higher end, immediate resistance is visible at 17330. Sustained trades above 17330 may induce further rally in the market," Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities, had said in post market closing commentary. 

On Wednesday morning, all major Asian indices were trading positive. Japanese Nikkei 225 gained 0.75%, Hang Seng Index at the Hong Kong Exchange surged 1.72% and Shanghai Composite traded flat with positive bias around 7.50 am on Wednesday.

In the US market, the indices turned green in Tuesday's closing. Dow Jones gained 1.06%, Nasdaq Composite surged 1.28%, S&P500 appreciated 0.84% and Russell 2000 closed 1.63% higher on Tuesday.
