Stocks to buy today: List of 20 stocks for profitable trade on November 23

Benchmarks Nifty50 and S&P BSE 500 corrected 1.96% each as bears too control of the stock markets on Monday.  The indices gave up all crucial support levels as Sensex slipped 1170 points and Nifty shed 324 points to settle at 17,417. Reliance Industries, Paytm, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors and NTPC contributed the most in this market fall amid multiple factors.

Broader markets also followed benchmark indices as both midcap and small-cap indices slumped more than 2% each. Bank Nifty slumped over 800 points to settle at 37,129. Besides, all major indices Nifty Realty, Media, PSU Bank & auto were in the red and fell up to 4%.

The slump was largely triggered by the shelving of Reliance's deal with Aramco, repeal of farm laws, Paytm poor show, weak global cues and notification of uniform GST on footwear and apparels.

Asian markets traded mixed this morning.   Nikkei 225 index was trading flat with a positive bias and a gain of 28 points at 29,774 in the early trade. Shanghai Composite was up 11 points to 3, 591, while Hang Seng Index was trading in the red, lower by 242 points to 24, 708 around 7.20 am on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, earlier on Friday, the US stock market indices on the Wall Street closed mixed on Tuesday. Dow Jones closed flat with a positive bias after gaining marginally by 17 points to 35,619, Nasdaq Composite settled 203 points lower to 15,855 and S&P 500 was down 15 points to 4,683.
