Stocks In News Today, Buzzing Stocks: Key stock indices Sensex and Nifty declined over half a per cent on Thursday due to selling in financials, auto and realty shares after five-month high inflation fanned rate hike fears. A weak rupee and rising crude prices also impacted the market sentiment, traders said. The 30-share BSE Sensex declined 390.58 points or 0.68 per cent to settle at 57,235.33. The broader NSE Nifty fell 109.25 points or 0.64 per cent to end at 17,014.35.

Software major Infosys Ltd on Thursday said it closed the second quarter of FY23 with a higher consolidated net profit of Rs 6,021 crore. Approving the accounts, the company Board declared an interim dividend of Rs 16.50 per share. According to Infosys, it had posted a consolidated revenue of Rs 36,538 crore for the period ended September 30, 2022 (Rs29,602 crore -Q2FY22) and a net profit of Rs 6,021 crore (Rs 5,421 crore).

Mindtree

 

Midcap IT firm Mindtree on Thursday released its second quarter business update. The company said that its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2022 came in at Rs 508.7 crore, growing 27.5 per cent over Rs 398.9 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 3,400.4 crore, up 31.5 percent over Rs 2,586.2 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Sequentially, profit grew 7.9 percent and revenue jumped 8.9 percent.

HDFC Life

 

HDFC Life has received IRDAI's final approval to merge Exide Life into the company. In January this year, HDFC Life acquired 100 per cent stake in Exide Life Insurance Company from its parent firm Exide Industries.
