Global cues were mixed as Asia Pacific markets traded in red on Monday, while US stocks ended higher on Friday.
Stocks in News Today, November 21: Sensex and Nifty are likely to open in red on Monday i.e. November 21 as SGX Nifty - which is traded on the Singapore stock exchange - traded over 86 points, or 0.47 per cent, lower at 18,261 in the early trade. Both BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty stayed on the back foot on Friday as investors offloaded auto, finance and energy stocks amid a lackluster trend in global markets.
Global cues were mixed as Asia Pacific markets traded in red on Monday, while US stocks ended higher on Friday. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index slumped over 572 points, 3.18 per cent, and the Shanghai SE Composite Index in mainland China was down by 40.56 points, 1.31 per cent. Japan’s Nikkei 225 traded around 50 points and South Korea’s Kospi dropped 1.15 per cent.
Earlier on Friday, the S&P 500 gained 19.79 points, or 0.50 per cent, to end at 3,966.35 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 4.00 points, or 0.04 per cent, to 11,148.96. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 208.68 points, or 0.62 per cent, to 33,752.64 on Friday.

Zomato: Online food delivery platform Zomato on Friday said its Co-founder Mohit Gupta has resigned from his post. Gupta, who had joined Zomato four-and-a-half-year back, was elevated to co-founder in 2020 from the position of CEO of its food delivery business. In a message sent to the Zomato which was shared on the BSE by the company, Gupta said he is "deciding to move on from Zomato to seek the other unknown adventures that life holds for me".
FiveStar: FiveStar Business Finance will make its debut at Dalal Street Today. The Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the company was subscribed 70 per cent on the last day of subscription. The Rs 1,960 crore IPO received bids for 2,12,04,031 crore shares against 3,04,88,966 crore shares on offer, according to NSE data. The category for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 1.77 times and the portion for non-institutional investors received 61 per cent subscription.
The quota for Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) got subscribed 11 per cent.
Tata Steel, Hindalco, SAIL: The government has cut the export duty on steep products and iron ore. This cut in export duty is effective from November 19, 2022. It is to be noted that this was imposed on May 21, almost six months ago.
EaseMyTrip: EaseMyTrip or Easy Trip Planners will announce bonus shares for the financial year 2022-23 toay. Easy Trip Planners will give bonus shares to its investors free of cost. Easy Trip Planners has announced issuing bonus shares in the ratio of 3:1. It means that Easy Trip Planners will give 3 bonus shares for every 1 share held.
ONGC: India's largest oil and gas producer ONGC will this year reverse years of decline in production and gradually raise output thereafter as it invests billions of dollars to produce from newer discoveries, company's management told investors in a call. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in fiscal year 2021-22 produced 21.707 million tonne of crude oil, which is refined to produce petroleum products like petrol and diesel, and 21.68 billion cubic meter (bcm) of natural gas, which is used to produce electricity, manufacture fertilizer and as CNG in automobiles.
