Stocks in News: Canara Bank, TVS Motor, Marico among other key scrips to watch out for on Wednesday

The Indian markets on Tuesday witnessed selling pressure as they snapped a two-day gaining streak to end lower. The Sensex fell by almost 500 points and the Nifty50 settled above 17950 at the close. 

The broader markets outperformed the benchmark indices to end positive as both Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 closed around 1 per cent higher. All Nifty Bank constituents end in the red except for Punjab National Bank at the close today.

Amid all, sectoral indices traded mixed wherein profit booking in banking & financials dragged the indices lower. However, buying in power, consumer durables, and FMCG capped the downside. 

Stocks such as Canara Bank, Gujarat Gas, NTPC, Marico, TVS Motor, Tata Steel Bandhan Bank, TCS, Ruchi Soya, Adani Green, Adani Ent, Adani Transmission and Reliance Industries, among others are the stocks to be in focus on Wednesday.

Canara Bank gets the Reserve Bank of India to exercise the call option of the tier-II bonds. The bank is in process of exercising the call option on the due date which is May 3, 2022. 

Gujarat Gas signs an agreement with NTPC to use Green Hydrogen in piped gas, this will be produced by the process of electrolysis of water using 1 MW floating solar project of NTPC Kawas.  

Marico releases its quarterly business update and says consumption trends were subdued in the fourth quarter. The company expects marginal profit growth in Q4 and gross margins to remain unchanged year-on-year (YoY). 

TVS Motor and Jio-bp to explore the creation of a public EV charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the country. 

Tata Steel: January-March provisional India output 4.9 mt; Provisional India sales in the same quarter at 5.12 mt. 

Bandhan Bank Q4 update: Advances Rs 1 lakh crore as on March 31, up 16% YoY (year-on-year); total deposits Rs 96,330 crore as on March 31, up 24% YoY; CASA deposits Rs 40070 crore as on March 31, up 18% YoY.
