The Sensex and the Nifty on Thursday hit fresh record highs. Both indices climbed even as the cues from the global equity markets were mixed. The BSE Sensex gained 514 points, or 0.90 per cent, to finish at 57,853. The NSE Nifty also surged 158 points, or 0.92 per cent, to settle at 17,234. But certain stocks came in the news after the market was closed. These stocks can impact the indices when it reopens on Friday, September 3, 2021. List of such five stocks:

IPO Updates

Ami Organics IPO: The initial public offering (IPO) of the Surat-based speciality chemical company, Ami Organics was subscribed 3.9 times on the second day of bidding. The QIB portion was subscribed 1.43 times, while the NII and retail portions were subscribed 1.51 times and 6.32 times, respectively. Today is the last day for bidding for the Rs 569.64 crore IPO. The price band for Vijaya Diagnostic Centre IPO has been fixed at Rs 603-610 per equity share. Retail investors can place their bids in a lot size of 24 shares up to a maximum of 13 lots. Ami Organics IPO consists of an offer for sale of Rs 369.64 crore and a fresh issue of Rs 200 crore. 

Vijaya Diagnostic IPO: The initial public offering (IPO) of Vijaya Diagnostic was subscribed 0.4 times. The QIB portion was subscribed 0.32times while the NII and retail portions were subscribed 0.05 times and 0.74 times, respectively. The employee quota was subscribed 0.52 times. Today is the last day for bidding for the Rs 569.64 crore IPO. The price band for Vijaya Diagnostic Centre IPO has been fixed at Rs 522-531 per equity share. Investors can subscribe to the initial public offering (IPO) by betting for a lot of 28 shares or in multiples thereof. 

HDFC Life: The board will meet today to consider and approve the issue of equity shares and/or other securities of the Company by way of preferential allotment. The company is organising a conference call today at 09.15 am.

HAL: Board of Directors of the Company will be held on September 21, 2021, inter-alia, to consider the sub-division of equity shares of the Company.

RailTel + IRB Infrastructure

RailTel Corporation: State-owned RailTel Corporation of India has received a Contract from the Directorate of Information Technology, Indian Air Force, Ministry of Defence for implementation of Secure OPS Network for a value of Rs 299.95 crore (Inclusive of GST). The work is to be executed over a period of 12 months.
IRB Infrastructure Developers: The company has emerged as a preferred bidder for Chittoor - Thachur Six Laning Highway Hybrid Annuity Project in Tamil Nadu. The company made a bid for Rs 909 crore and a construction period of 730 days & an operation period of 15 years commencing from COD. 

Granules India: Granules received a licence from DRDO to manufacture and market 2- Deoxy-D-Glucose (2-DG). Developed by DRDO, 2-DG has been granted permission by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for emergency use of this drug as an adjunct therapy in moderate to severe Covid 19 patients. 2-DG works by accumulating in virus-infected cells and prevent the growth of the virus by stopping - energy production and viral synthesis. This drug reduces a patient’s average recovery time by two and half days and oxygen demand by up to 40 per cent.
