Stock Markets Next Week: Indian markets are likely to be impacted by multiple triggers when they reopen on Monday after a four day gap. The markets remained shut on Thursday and Friday on account of Ambedkar Jayanti and Good Friday, respectively.

1) 16 April – Saturday – Index heavyweight and India’s largest private lender HDFC Bank will announce its Q4FY22 results. The bank will also consider raising Rs 50,000 cr via bonds.

2) ICICI Prudential will also announce its March quarter results.   

3) 18 April – Monday – Mindtree Limited will also declare Q4FY22 results on this day after market hours.

4) Currency market will also open at 9 am on this day. Dow Futures on Monday.

5) Investors must keep an eye on Jubilant Foodworks in which a price adjustment has to happen between the closing price and F&O price.

6) FII/DII Numbers: Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers on the last trading day (13 April) of the week. The sold equities worth Rs 2061.04 cr. Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors were net buyers on this day and purchased stocks worth Rs 1410.85 cr.

7) 19 April – Tuesday – ACC Ltd and Larsen Toubro Infotech Limited will announce results on this day.

8) 20 April – Wednesday – India Bank Merchant Banking Services Limited and Tata Elxsi will announce their Q4FY22 results on this day.

9) 21 April – Thursday – HCL Technologies Limited, Nestle India Limited, Crisil Limited and Cyient Limited will announce their March Quarter results.

10) 22 April – Friday -   Hindustan Zinc Limited and MMTC Limited will also announce their quarterly earnings results.  

 Indian markets ended the week negatively on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex settled at 58,338.93, down by 237 points or 0.4 per cent while the Nifty50 ended at 17,475.65, down by 0.3 per cent or 54 points. Bank Nifty fell by 284 points to end at 37,463.40.

Indian markets extended decline for the third straight session on Wednesday, as HDFC twins – HDFC and HDFC Bank dragged the market most along with auto stocks. The BSE Sensex slipped over 237 points while Nifty50 settled above the 17450-mark at the close falling by 54 points or 0.3 per cent.
