Headline indices likely to open in green; GIFT Nifty futures up nearly 50 pts

Share Market Today, October 29, 2024: Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty will likely open Tuesday's session in a positive zone. At around 7:15 am, GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the 50-share index, were up 40 points or 0.16 per cent at 24,387 ahead of the opening bell on Dalal Street.

In US Markets - Wall Street - indexes ended higher, with the S&P 500 surged 0.27 per cent, while the Nasdaq closed up 0.26 per cent. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones rose 0.65 per cent.

Asia stocks showed mixed performance, Nikkei 225 was up 0.61 per cent, and the Hang Seng index rose over 1 per cent. Meanwhile, South Korea's KOSPI fell 0.51 per cent.
