Stock Market Today 2 Sep 2022: Top Gainers and Losers - What investors should know

Stock Market Today 2 September 2022: Indian stock market traded with lacklustre on Friday managing to close flat on the last trading day of the week. While the BSE Sensex closed at 58,803.33, up nearly 36 points or  0.06 per cent from the Thursday closing price, the 50-share Nifty50 index settled at 17539.45, losing 3 points from the last closing.  

In the 30-share BSE Sensex, 11 stocks were gainers at the closing time. The remaining 19 were losers.

Sensex top Gainers:

1) ITC Shares ended at Rs 323.50, up 1.9 per cent on the BSE from the Thursday closing price.  

2) HDFC shares ended at Rs 2441.90, up 1.6 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

3) Larsen & Toubro shares ended at Rs 1940, up 1.5 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

4) Axis Bank shares ended at Rs 750.55, up 0.9 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

5) NTPC shares ended at Rs 161.90, up 0.8 per cent from the Thursday closing price.

Sensex top Losers:

1) Maruti Suzuki Shares ended at Rs 8912, down 1.3 per cent on the BSE from the Thursday closing price.  

2) Reliance Industries Shares ended at Rs 2528.55, down 1.3 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

3) Indusind Bank ended at Rs 1099.50, down 1 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

4) Ultratech Cement Shares ended at Rs 6550.05, down 1 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

5)  Nestle India Shares ended at Rs 19555.70, down 0.9 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

In the 50-share index, 12 stocks advanced while 38 declined.

Nifty50 Top Gainers:

1) ITC Shares ended at Rs 323.35, up 1.8 per cent from the Thursday closing price. 

2) Adani Ports Shares ended at Rs 852.75, up 1.8 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

3) HDFC Shares ended at Rs 2440, up 1.5 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

4) Larsen & Toubro Shares ended at Rs 1940, up 1.4 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

5) Kotak Mahindra Bank Shares ended at Rs 1920, up 0.9 per cent from the Thursday closing price.  

Nifty50 Top Losers:

1) BPCL Shares ended at Rs 321.70, down 2.9 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.  

2)  Shree Cement Shares ended at Rs 21100, down 2.3 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.  

3)  Hindalco Industries ended at Rs 414.70, down 1.7 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.  

4)  Hero MotoCorp Shares ended at Rs 2828, down 1.7 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.  

5) ONGC Shares ended at Rs 132.60, down 1.6 per cent on the NSE from the Thursday closing price.
