Stock Market Today 15 Sep 2022: Top Gainers and Losers - What investors should know

Stock Market Today 15 September 2022: Indian stock markets ended in the red on Thursday -  the day of weekly expiry. While the BSE Sensex closed at 59,934.01, down nearly 412.96 points or  0.68 per cent from the Wednesday closing price, the 50-share Nifty50 index settled at 17,877.40, down by 126 or 0.70 per cent from the last closing. 

In the 30-share BSE Sensex, 7 stocks were gainers at the closing time. The remaining 23 were losers.

1) Maruti Suzuki shares ended at Rs 9245.20, up 3.2 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.

2) Power Grid Shares ended at Rs 237.70, up 2.2 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price. 

3) NTPC shares ended at Rs 175.05, up 1.9 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.

4) HDFC shares ended at Rs 2458.30, up 0.3 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.

5) Bharti Airtel shares ended at Rs 784.80, up 0.17 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.

Sensex top Losers:

1) Tech Mahindra Shares ended at Rs 1082.45, down 3.13 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price. 

2) Infosys Shares ended at Rs 1432.05, down 2.91 per cent from the Wednesday closing price. 

3) Tata Steel ended at Rs 107, down 1.92 per cent from the Wednesday closing price. 

4) Bajaj Finserv Shares ended at Rs 1772, down 1.89 per cent from the Wednesday closing price. 

5) Axis Bank Shares ended at Rs 787.75, down 1.70 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.  

In the 50-share Nifty50 index, 11 stocks advanced while 39 declined.

Nifty50 Top Gainers:

1) Maruti Suzuki  Shares ended at Rs 9216, up 2.77 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.

2) Eicher Motors Shares ended at Rs 3635, up 2.63 per cent from the Wednesday closing price. 

3) Adani Ports Shares ended at Rs 967.60, up 2.08 per cent from the Wednesday closing price. 

4) Power Grid Shares ended at Rs 237.05, up 1.94 per cent from the Wednesday closing price. 

5) NTPC Shares ended at Rs 174.65, up 1.33 per cent from the Wednesday closing price. 

Nifty50 Top Losers:

1) Hindalco Industries Shares ended at Rs 818.75, down 2.23 per cent on the NSE from the Wednesday closing price. 

2) Tech Mahindra Shares ended at Rs 17007, down 2.12 per cent on the NSE from the Wednesday closing price. 

3) Infosys  shares ended at Rs 3610, down 1.4 per cent on the NSE from the Wednesday closing price. 

4) Cipla Shares ended at Rs 1303, down 1.3 per cent on the NSE from the Wednesday closing price. 

5) Apollo Hospitals Shares ended at Rs 7118, down 1.09 per cent on the NSE from the Wednesday closing price.
