Stock Market Today 1 Sep 2022: Top Gainers and Losers - What investors should know

Stock Market Today 1 September 2022: Stock market ended the day in red with the equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty closing with significant losses. While the BSE Sensex settled at 58,766.59, down 770.48 points or 1.29 per cent, the 50-share Nifty50 index was down by 1.2 per cent or by 216 points from the Tuesday closing level. The markets were closed for trading on Wednesday on account of Ganesh Chaturthi.

In the 30-share BSE Sensex, only 7 stocks were gainers at the closing time. The remaining 23 were losers.

Sensex Top Gainers:

1) Bajaj Finserv Shares ended at Rs 17404, up 2.6 per cent on the BSE from the Tuesday closing price.  

2) Asian Paints shares ended at Rs 3446.90, up 1.6 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.

3) Bharti Airtel shares ended at Rs 735.05, up 1.2 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.

4) Titan shares ended at Rs 2627.50, up 0.9 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.

5) SBI shares ended at Rs 533.30, up 0.4 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.

Sensex top Losers:

1) Reliance Industries Shares ended at Rs 2560.20, down 3 per cent on the BSE from the Tuesday closing price.  

2) TCS Shares ended at Rs 3131.55, down 2.5 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

3) Sun Pharmaceuticals Shares ended at Rs 871.65, down 2.4 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

4) Tech Mahindra Shares ended at Rs 1053.53, down 2.2 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

5) Infosys Shares ended at Rs 1464.40, down 2 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

Nifty50 Top Gainers:

In the 50-share index, 12 stocks advanced while 38 declined.

1) Tata Consumer Products Shares ended at Rs 841, up 3.9 per cent from the Tuesday closing price. 

2) Bajaj Finserv Shares ended at Rs 17440, up 2.8 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

3) Asian Paints Shares ended at Rs 3454.40, up 1.9 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

4) Eicher Motors Shares ended at Rs 3414, up 1.6 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

5) Hero MotoCorp Shares ended at Rs 2880, up 1.5 per cent from the Tuesday closing price.  

Nifty50 Top Losers:

1) Hindalco Industries Shares ended at Rs 423, down 3.6 per cent on the NSE from the Tuesday closing price.  

2) Reliance Industries Shares ended at Rs 2564, down 2.8 per cent on the NSE from the Tuesday closing price.  

3) ONGC ended at Rs 134.90, down 2.6 per cent on the NSE from the Tuesday closing price.  

4)  TCS Shares ended at Rs 3136, down 2.3 per cent on the NSE from the Tuesday closing price.  

5) Sun Pharma Shares ended at Rs 873, down 2.3 per cent on the NSE from the Tuesday closing price.
