Stock market holidays 2021: Indian stock markets (BSE and NSE) will remain closed today, April 21. The stock exchanges will be closed on Wednesday on account of Ram Navami.

This month the stock markets were also closed on April 2 and April 14 due to Good Friday and Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti respectively.

The share market will remain closed for equity segment, equity derivative segment and SLB Segment on April 21. Commodity markets will be closed for the morning session, however, it will open in the evening. The bourse will resume regular business on Thursday, April 22.    

This is consecutive week when markets are closed on Wednesday—once on Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14 and now on April 22 over Ram Navami celebrations.  

Meanwhile, as per BSE Trading Holidays 2021 list, the share market will remain closed for 14 days in 2021.    

This will be last trading holiday in April. As far as next month is concerned, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty will do no business on May 13 on the occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan ID).

Besides, share markets will also remain closed on the occasions of Bakr Id, Muharram, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali Laxmi Pujan, Diwali Balipratipada and Gurunanak Jayanti in coming months.

Meanwhile, after strong early sessions, the 30-share pack Sensex lost 243.62 points or 0.51 per cent to close at 47,705.80. Similarly, broader NSE Nifty dived 63.05 points or 0.44% to give a closing of 14,296.40.
