Stock Market Holiday 2024: Bourses to remain closed on this date in July; will commodity and currency exchanges also be shut?

Stock Market Holiday 2024: There is a trading holiday in July this year on the occasion of Moharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar. According to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), all activities on the bourses will be suspended for a day. The exchanges will remain closed on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

The equity segment, equity derivative segment, and SLB segment will be closed, along with the currency derivatives segments and commodity derivatives segment. However, the commodity derivatives segment and EGR segment will only be closed during the first half of the day, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Trading will resume in the evening session from 5:00 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm.

Furthermore, the remaining holidays for the year are scheduled in the upcoming months.
