Stock Market Fraud, National Stock Exchange (NSE): As digitalisation transforms investment opportunities, it also creates new challenges for both investors and stockbrokers. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has issued 13 warnings regarding fraudulent activities perpetrated by scammers on digital platforms, including WhatsApp and Telegram in the previous month. The exchange identified 14 individuals and nine entities that provide assured and guaranteed stock market tips for trading and investments.
The exchange also provided there numbers those are using for the malware practice.
However, such persons or entities are not SEBI registered either as a member or authorised person of any member of the NSE.
"The investors are cautioned and advised not to subscribe to any scheme or product offered by any person or entity offering indicative/assured/guaranteed returns in the stock market as the same is prohibited by law," the exchange said.
"It may also be noted that the said person or entity is not registered either as a member or authorised person of any registered member of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited," it added.
