- Hong Kong's Hang Seng up 408.76 points or 1.94 per cent at 21,046.00
- South Korea's KOSPI up 10.47 or 0.50 per cent at 2,604.83

In the last session (October 9) both domestic indexes ended lower, Sensex closed at 81,467.10, down 167.71 pts or 0.21 per cent and the 50-share index (Nifty 50) closed at 24,981.95, up 31.20 pts or 0.12 per cent.
