The public sector company has announced to pay dividends to its shareholders. It will pay a 50 per cent interim dividend to the investors for the financial year 2022-23, according to an exchange filing earlier this month. The dividend will be paid to Power Grid shareholders subject to eligibility on the record date.
Power Grid Corporation of India, under the ownership of the Ministry of Power, is engaged in the transmission of bulk power across the country. The Gurugram-based company was founded in 1989. The company transmits about 50 per cent of the total power generated in the country on its transmission network.
Power Grid Share Dividend 2022
The face value of Power Grid's per share is Rs 10. The company has declared that it will pay 50 per cent dividend to the shareholders. This translates into Rs 5 per share. It means that Power Grid shareholders will get Rs 5 dividend per share. For example, if a Power Grid shareholder has 100 shares in his/her Demat account, then the company will pay him/her Rs 500 dividend.

Power Grid will pay Rs 5 dividend only to eligible shareholders. To determine the eligibility of the shareholders, the company has announced the record date. To receive Rs 5 dividend, one must hold the shares of Power Grid in his/her Demat account on the record date.
Power Grid share dividend 2022 record date is November 15, according to the filing.
"The the Board of Directors, in their Meeting held on 5th November, 2022, have approved the payment of Interim Dividend of Rs 5 per equity share of Rs 10/- each (@50% of the paid-up equity share capital) for the Financial Year 2022-23," the company said in a filing.
Power Grid Dividend 2022 Ex Date
Power Grid shares will trade ex-dividend date a business day before the record date. According to the NSE website, Power Grid stocks will trade ex-dividend date on November 14.
Power Grid Dividend 2022 Payment Date
Power Grid will pay an Interim Dividend to the eligible shareholders on November 30, the company said the filing.
The dividend amount of Rs 5 per share shall be credited directly into the bank accounts linked to Demat accounts of the shareholders.
Power Grid Dividend History
IN 2022 so far, Power Grid has paid dividends on two occasions. In August, the company paid Rs 2.25 dividend per share. Before that, Power Grid had paid Rs 5.50 dividend per share to its shareholders in February. In 2022, the government-owned company paid Rs 10 dividends on 3 occasions. Besides, Power Grid had also issued bonus shares in July 2022 in a ratio of 1:3.

Power Grid share price has remained in a consolidation phase for the past few months. In 6 months, the stock has delivered a negative return of around 9 per cent to its investors whereas it has yielded a handsome turn of more than 14 per cent in the past 1 year. The stock's 52-week range is Rs 248.35 - Rs 182.
Brokerage firm ICICI Securities has given Add rating on the stock with a price target of Rs 228 apiece.
