NSE, BSE to remain shut today due to Maharashtra elections

Stock Market Today, November 20, 2024: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed today on account of a scheduled market holiday due to the Maharashtra Assembly Election, according to the exchanges. Trading across equity, derivatives, and SLB segments will not take place. Normal trading operations will resume on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, the commodity market is also closed on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) in the first. However, trading will resume on the MCX for the evening session from 5 pm to 11:55 pm. The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the largest agri commodity exchange in India will remain closed tomorrow.
