Stock Markets – TOP HEADLINES – The US stock markets traded in a range on Tuesday as Dow fell by 40 points while Nasdaq and S&P ended flat. Meanwhile, SGX Nifty ended above 17,100 almost flat while Dow Futures were up by 50 points.

International prices of Gold gained slightly on Tuesday and it was trading around USD 1815 while Silver prices were trading around USD 24.

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the first quarter ended 30 June was as per the estimates. From (-) 24.1 per cent in Q1FY21 it has jumped to 20.1 per cent on the year-on-year basis.

August auto sales numbers will be announced today. Indications of fastest recovery in commercial vehicles sales. In the passenger vehicles segments, better performance expected from Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra.

BHEL gets an order worth Rs 10,000 cr from NPCIL which is its largest order till date. It is an order for 6 units of 700 megawatts power.
