Nifty, Sensex Gainers, and Losers: The Indian markets ended the day in the negative territory on Tuesday amid weak global market trends and rising crude prices. Falling for the third day running, the benchmark indices – Sensex and Nifty – slipped below 62,650 and 18,650 levels today.

The 30-share BSE benchmark ended 208.24 points or 0.33 per cent lower at 62,626.36. The broader NSE Nifty declined 58.30 points or 0.31 per cent to end at 18,642.75.

On the Sensex — Tata Steel, Dr Reddy's, Infosys, State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies and Maruti were the laggards. Hindustan Unilever, UltraTech Cement, Power Grid and Nestle were among the gainers.

Hindustan Unilever (HUL): ADD – Target: 2800; Upside: 5.5%

Shares of HUL closed as top Sensex gainer on Tuesday, up around 1.5 per cent to Rs 2656.8 per share on the BSE as compared to over 0.3 per cent fall in the S&P BSE Sensex.

Manoj Menon, Research Analyst, ICICI Securities keeps earnings estimates unchanged and model revenue, EBITDA, PAT CAGR growth at 12/13/14 per cent over FY22-24E.

UltraTech Cement: BUY - Target: 8000; Upside: 10%

Shares of Ultratech Cement closed among top Nifty and Sensex gainers, up around 1 per cent to Rs 7268.8 per share on the BSE.

The company has a pan-India footprint with a diversified regional mix and wide distribution network, which helps Ultratech for brand recognition and institutional exposure, according to Julius Baer Equity Research. It maintains a Buy rating with a target price of Rs 8000 apiece — a 10 per cent upside.

The brokerage said that the company has a strong balance sheet and robust cash generation to support further capacity expansion.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL): Buy – Target: 360; Upside: 10%

Shares of BPCL closed as top Nifty loser, down around 3 per cent to Rs 328.5 per share on the NSE as compared to a 0.3 per share fall in the Nifty index.

Ramesh Sankaranarayanan, Research Analyst, Nirmal Bang maintains BUY on BPCL with a target price (TP) of Rs 360 per share (10% upside), mainly on the expectations of improving retail margins under likely softer oil prices and upside in GRMs (Gross Refinery Margins).
