BSE and NSE will remain closed on 5 October (Wednesday) on account of Dussehra, 24 October, Monday for Diwali / Laxmi Puja) and 26 October, Wednesday on account of Diwali Balipritipada
Next Stock Market Holiday October 2022: Indian equity markets will be shut for trading on three days in October. This will be on otherwise regular trading days excluding weekends. BSE and NSE will remain closed on 5 October (Wednesday) on account of Dussehra, 24 October, Monday for Diwali / Laxmi Puja) and 26 October, Wednesday on account of Diwali Balipritipada.
Meanwhile, India’s largest commodity exchange Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) will also be closed for trading on 5th, 24th and 26 October in the first half of the day’s trading session i.e. between 9 and 5 pm. The markets will open for trading in the evening session between 5 pm and 11:30/11:55 pm.
Timings for the Muhurat trading on 24 October 2022 shall be notified by the exchange subsequently, information available on MCX said.
Agriculture commodity exchange NCDEX (National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited) will also be closed for trading in morning (9 am – 5 pm) and evening sessions (5-9 pm) on 5th and 26th October.
The NCDEX will open in the second half on 24 October.
In November, the equity markets will be shut on 8 November on account of Gurunana Jayanti, Tuesday. There will be no trading holidays in December. NCDEX will remain closed on 8 November in both the sessions.
MCX will be closed for trading in the morning session on 8 November while open in the evening session.
There were 13 declared holidays in CY 2022.
