Next Stock Market Holiday August 2022: The next stock markets holiday will be on 15th August on account of India’s Independence Day. It will fall on Monday. Apart from NSE and BSE, the trading will also remain closed on country’s largest commodity exchange – the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) and agriculture commodity index NCDEX (National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited).

India is celebrating its 75th year of Independence and is observing an ‘Amrit Kaal’.

The next stock market holiday in August is on account of Ganesh Chaturthi which will be celebrated on 31 August (Wednesday). Equity markets will remain closed for trading for the entire trading session between 9:15 and 3:30 pm. Meanwhile, MCX will remain closed for trading in the morning session between 9 am and 5 pm. It will resume trading in the evening session from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm on both the days.

Apart from this the markets will remain closed on four other occasions in 2022 in October and November. The days are 05 October (Wednesday), 24 October (Monday) and 26 October (Wednesday) on account of Dussehra, Dwali or Laxmi Pujan and Diwali Balipratipada.

In November there will be one trading holiday on 8 November on account of Gurunanak Jayanti. It is falling on Tuesday.

There were 13 declared holidays during the calendar year 2022.

Earlier this month, the equity markets were closed for trading on 9 August on account of Muharram.

In August, there are three declared holidays. These holidays have or will fall on regular trading days. These holidays will be apart from regular trading holidays on Saturday and Sundays.
