Neither Rakesh Jhunjhunwala nor RK Damani, but this Indian tycoon and his firm hold the largest stock portfolio

We always talk of RK Damani and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala when it comes to stock market. It is rightly so because these 'market movers' drive the mood and sentiment of a stock when they take a fresh position, increase/decrease their stake, or exit a counter, like no one else in the business. However, many would be startled to learn that t is neither the big bull nor the Mr White & White are the one to have the biggest portfolio in terms of investment. Well, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is third in the list, while RK Damani sits just above the celebrity investor on 2nd spot with the investors with maximum investment in the capital market.  

The number one position is held by non-other than the Indian tycoon Azim Premji, former Wipro chairman, as per Trendlyne, a platform to anlyse stock market.  Apparently, Premji and Associates holds 4 stocks with a net worth of over Rs. 267,502.5 crore, showed the data.

Understandably, Premji and Associates is massively invested in software and services. The firm holds 3,997,835,444 shares of Wipro worth Rs 266,475.7 crore as on October 25,2021, as per the latest corporate shareholding available with the platform.  

Besides, it holds 5,533,597 shares amounting to Rs 582.4 crore of Trent Ltd till October 25, a leading player in the branding retail industry in the country. It also has 2,820,161 shares worth Rs 389.2 core of Tube Investments of India Ltd. Apparently, the firm has cut its position in this share from 3% to 1.5%, as per Trendlyne. It also has taken fresh position in Craftsman Automation Ltd worth Rs 55.2 crore (1.1% stake) of 223,400 shares in the quarter ended September.  

RK Damani Portfolio Stocks  

Radhakishan Damani is second in the list of ace investors with biggest portfolio. Avenue Supermarts owner has invested a total of Rs 196,101.73 crore in the equity market. According to Trendlyne, Damani is an owner of 14 stocks with a net worth of over Rs. 191,715.7 crore till October 25.

Next in the celebrity investors list is the big bull of the Indian stock market, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. The Indian billionaire's portfolio, as per the same data, reflects 39 stocks with a net worth of over Rs. 24,046.7 crore.
