Every year, on the second Sunday of May, Mother's Day is celebrated to give tribute to mothers, as well as their motherhood, and maternal bonds.
Google, in the four-slide GIF, has made an illustration of several small ways in which a mother nurtures her child.
In a series, the first slide shows a child holding its mom’s finger, the second shows them reading braille, the third slide shows them washing hands under a tap, and the last one shows them planting a sapling.
Different countries celebrate Mother’s Day on different dates. UK citizens celebrate Mother’s Day on the fourth Sunday of March commemorating the memory of Mother Church on Christian Mothering Sunday. While India along with other 40 countries mark this day on May 8 every year.
This was started in the 1900s first by Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia, the US to commemorate her mother Ann Reeves Jarvis after her death as a way of honouring the sacrifices she and all mothers made for their children, according to history.com
