Jubilant Pharmova, Pharma Stocks, Macrotech Developers to Goa Carbon - here are top Buzzing Stocks today

Benchmark indices were trading at a loss of more than 2% in Monday’s noon deals. Investors’ sentiment was hit as India continued to report a record surge in daily COVID-19 cases. The country has recorded over 2.75 lakh new COVID cases and 1,625 new deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Worldometer. At 12:40 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at a loss of 1165.37 points or 2.39% at 47,666.66, while Nifty 50 was trading 341.75 points or 2.34% down at 14,276.10. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

Stocks reacting to Earnings 

Mindtree: Up 0.60%. The mid-tier IT firm has reported a 2.8% quarter-on-quarter decline in consolidated profit at Rs 317.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. Consolidated revenue grew 4.2% to Rs 2,109 crore in Q4FY21 against Rs 2,024 crore posted in Q3FY21. 
HDFC Bank: Down 3.19%. India’s largest private bank has reported its Q4FY21 results on Saturday. It posted an 18% YoY rise in profit after tax at Rs 8,186 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. Its Net Interest Income (NII) rose 12.6% YoY to Rs 17,120 crore against Rs 15,204 crore posted last year.
ICICI Lombard: Down 4.43%. ICICI Lombard General Insurance has reported a 22.6% year-on-year rise in its profit at Rs 346 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. The board of directors has proposed a final dividend of Rs 4 per share for FY21.
MMTC: Down 7.73%. The state-owned MMTC has reported a consolidated loss of Rs 52.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021, as against a profit of Rs 12.8 crore posted in the same quarter last year.

Jubilant Pharmova – Bullish and trading 4.92% up. Jubilant Pharmova’s subsidiary, Jubilant Pharma, has announced the development of a novel oral formulation of Remdesivir with successful completion of safety and pharmacokinetic/absorption studies in animals and healthy human volunteers. 

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals: Up 0.99%. Its wholly-owned arm Glenmark Life Sciences has filed preliminary papers for an initial public offer with market regulator SEBI. The offer comprises a fresh issue of up to Rs 1,160 crore and an offer for sale of up to 73,05,245 equity shares of Glenmark Life Sciences Ltd. 

KEC International: Up 1.67%. It has signed project/ novation agreements with Warora-Kurnool Transmission Limited (WKTL), a subsidiary of Adani Transmission Limited (ATL) for Rs. 477 crores to complete the balance work of the Transmission lines in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana and release of the earlier dues of this project. 

Pharma Stocks: Shares of pharma stocks, like Cipla 1.24%, Dr Reddy’s – up 1%, were trading higher as they have announced voluntary price cuts for Remdesivir Injections after the Centre’s intervention to ensure its affordable availability. 

Goa Carbon: Down 3.42%. The company has informed about the temporary shutdown of its Goa Plant from April 17, 2021, for maintenance work.

ONGC: Down 3.40%. Block deal of 13.8 lakh shares at Rs 104.70 per share. 

Macrotech Developers: Lists on the stock exchanges at Rs 439 per share against the issue price of Rs 489 per share. 

Adani Green: Down 3.56%. Its subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Holding Fifteen Limited has been awarded a project capacity of 150 MWac Solar Power Project from Torrent Power.
