According to the BSE website, bseindia.com, trading in the equity, equity derivatives segment and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments will proceed as usual on January 1, 2025, starting at 9:15 am following a 15-minute pre-market session.

Therefore, investors can expect regular trading hours for these segments.

Will Commodity Derivatives Be Available on January 1?

Commodity derivatives exchange Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will also remain open for half the day on January 1, 2025, to mark the New Year.

It is important to note that only the morning session (from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) will be available on this day, as the exchange will observe a holiday for the evening session (5:00 PM to 11:30 PM).
