IRCTC Q3 Results: Net profit jumps 22% to Rs 256 crore, board announces Rs 3.5/share dividend
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) reported a 22.4 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 255.5 crore for the quarter ended December 2022. The company declared a dividend of Rs 3.5 per share with a record date of February 22.
IRCTC Q3 Results: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on Thursday reported a net profit of Rs 255.5 crore for the quarter ended December 2022, up 22.4 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago.
Its revenue grew 69.9 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 918.1 crore, according to a regulatory filing.
IRCTC revenue mix
Revenue from IRCTC's catering business increased 3.8 times to Rs 394.1 crore compared with the year-ago period, according to the filing.
The internet ticketing revenue shrank 3.8 per cent to Rs 301 crore. IRCTC earns the second largest chunk of its revenue from internet ticketing, after catering.
Growth in sales from its tourism business stood at 79.2 per cent, and in the Rail Neer packaged drinking water unit at 55.5 per cent, according to IRCTC.

IRCTC dividend per share
IRCTC's board declared a dividend of Rs 3.5 per share. The board announced February 22 as the record date for the dividend payout. A record date determines the shareholders eligible to receive a dividend.
IRCTC shares ended higher by Rs 10.2 or 1.6 per cent at Rs 651.3 apiece on BSE after the earnings announcement.
The IRCTC stock lost 9.5 per cent of its value in the quarter ended December, a period in which headline indices Sensex and Nifty50 rose 5.9 per cent each.
