Hindustan Zinc Dividend 2022 News, Record Date, Ex-Date, Payment Date, Share Price NSE: Hindustan Zinc has announced to pay an interim dividend to its shareholders for the financial year 2022- 23. The Vedanta group firm made the announcement in an exchange filing on Wednesday, November 16. The Government of India owns nearly 35 per stake in Hindustan Zinc.

Hindustan Zinc Dividend 2022 Amount

According to the filing, the board of directors of Hindustan Zinc has announced to pay whopping 775 per cent interim dividend to its shareholders. This translates into Rs 15.50 per equity share of the face value of Rs 2. For example, if a person holds 100 shares of Hindustan Zinc on the record date, the company would pay him Rs 1550 dividend.

Hindustan Zinc has also announced the record date for the payment of dividend. 

Hindustan Zinc dividend record date 2022 is November 24, as per the filing. 

Record date is nothing but a date that determines the eligibility of shareholders for receiving the dividend amount. It means that investors having shares of Hindustan Zinc in the Demat account on November 24 would get a Rs 15.50 dividend per share.

Hindustan Zinc Dividend Ex-Date 2022

Hindustan Zinc shares will trade ex-date a business day before the record date. An ex-date is a business day prior to the record date. Hindustan Zinc ex-dividend date would be November 23.

A person should buy a company's shares before the ex-date so that shares are credited to the Demat account before the record date to receive the benefits of corporate actions like dividends, bonus, split and others.

Hindustan Zinc Dividend Payout, Payment Date 2022

The company's total payout on this account will be Rs 6549.24 crore. The dividend amount will be credited directly into the shareholders' bank account linked to their Demat account on the payment date. 

"...The second interim dividend will be paid within stipulated timelines as prescribed under law.." the company said in its exchange filing.

Hindustan Zinc Dividend History

Brokerage firm Citi has given a neutral call on the stock, with a downside move from the current market price. The firm, however, has increased its target price on the stock from Rs 260 to Rs 285.

Meanwhile, Hindustan Zinc stock jumped more than 1.50 per in early morning deals on Thursday. At 9:30 AM, the stock quoted Rs 324.30 apiece, gaining 1.65 per cent on NSE. The stock has yielded a good return of around 17 per cent in the past one month.
