Hindenburg-Adani Case: Chetan Bhagat says foreign investors matter for India's growth story; their concerns should be addressed

Hindenburg-Adani Saga: Even as US-based short seller Hindenburg Research alleged that Sebi Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch held investments in offshore funds used by the Adani group, author and columnist Chetan Bhagat said on 'X' that foreign investors' concerns, even if overblown or unfair in the matter of the Hindenburg episode, must be addressed.

In a message of 'X', the columnist says that foreign investors matter far more for India's growth story, hence, their concerns should be addressed.

"The perception among foreign investors that India's markets are run ethically and fairly is extremely important. In the mean time, Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch released a second statement on Twitter on Sunday.

Both have categorically denied charges levelled by the US short seller against them.

The duo has shared a host of specific details that include their career history, education, and certain investments. 

Reacting to their statement, Hindenburg said on Twitter that the report includes "several important admissions and raises numerous new critical questions".
