The markets in this week closed on higher note as, Sensex, Nifty50 and Midcap indices each gained around 2 per cent each after failing for two consecutive weeks, while Nifty Bank surged for second straight week, up 3 per cent – IndusInd Bank and Axis Bank were the top gainers.

Monday – February 7, 2022
The three-day meeting of the RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee to start from Monday, February 7, 2022. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed National Aluminium Company (NALCO) to release its third quarter earnings and the board may also consider second interim dividend.
In corporate action, Indiabulls Real Estate to call for an Extraordinary General Meeting on Monday, while it is also an ex-date of Coforge’s interim dividend at Rs 13 per share.
Tuesday – February 8, 2022
Telecom heavyweight Bharti Airtel to announce its October-December quarter results and the board may also decide on fundraising plan on Tuesday.
Other companies from broader markets category such as JSPL, Bata, Escort, Godrej Cons, Granules India, IRCTC, IGL, Mahanagar Gas, NMDC are also scheduled to announce results.
Even BSE to announce its December-end quarter results and the board may also mull and consider bonus issue of shares.
The initial public offer of Vedant Fashions to close on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. The offer has price band of Rs 824-866 per share, and size Rs 3150 crore. The offer is complete offer-for-sale.
In corporate action, it is an ex-date of Schaeffler India’s stock split from Rs 10 to Rs 2 per share
Wednesday – February 9, 2022
Index heavyweight Power Grid to announce its December quarter earnings on Wednesday, along with other companies such as Abbott India, ACC, Aurobindo Pharma, Berger Paints, Bosch, GMR Infra, Indiabulls Housing, Petronet LNG, SAIL, Tata Power.
In corporate actions, The interim dividend ex-date of three companies – Bharat Electronics (Rs 1.5 per share), Indian Oil Corporation (Rs 4 per share) and Sun Pharma (Rs 7 per share) is on Wednesday. Similarly, PCBL along with Q3 results may also consider stock split option on Wednesday.
The central bank’s monetary policy committee to come out with its last policy rate decision of FY22 on Wednesday. In December, the RBI had kept the rates unchanged at 4 per cent with accommodative stance.
The analyst expects the MPC should change its stance to Neutral. With oil prices above $90/bbl and threatening to go higher, they should also mention that the MPC would now incrementally prioritise inflation and that the RBI should worry about financial stability over-growth revival.

The buyback of MOIL to be closed on February 10, 2022: Buyback size: Rs 693 crore and buyback Price: Rs 205 per share.
Interim dividend’s ex-date of four companies BPCL - Rs 5 per share; Cholamandalam Investment and Finance - Rs 1.3 per share; Torrent Power – Rs 9 per share and Alkem Lab – Rs 30 per share as well as ex-date for stock split from Rs 5 to 1 per share of Greenlam on Thursday
