Exclusive: Swami Ramdev to make big Ruchi Soya announcement on Zee Business

Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev has promised a big development soon for Ruchi Soya investors, revealed Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi. Promising big ticket announcements for Patanjali Ayurveda and Ruchi Soya investors, Swami Ramdev has said that company is on track to emerge out of being just a commodity company to an FMCG company. Swami Ramdev, who heads Patanjali and Ruchi Soya said that the announcement is coming next month and will revolve around dividend announcement and company's shareholding. Notably, the company has to slash its shareholding to the tune of 10 per cent by June 2021.

Swami Ramdev said that Ruchi Soya investors will be given a big dividend gift in March 2021 during that announcement. He said that the whole exercise is looking to bring Ruchi Soya under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' plan.

Patanjali Ayurveda needs to cut down its shareholding in Ruchi Soya from existing 98.90 per cent to 75 per cent in next two years. The company has done major changes in system processes, distribution, manufacturing, exports, etc. It has reoperationalized some of the closed units too.

On Patanjali Ayurveda developing Corona Medicine, Swami Ramdev said that the company has got permission to sell Coronil in more than 150 countries. The Patanjali promotor said that Coronil meets all parameters set by the concerned authorities. He praised the Patanjali Research Institute scientists for developing such an important medicine when the whole world was busy finding answer to COVID-19 pandemic.

The Yoga Guru also said that he is proud of Patanjali Research Institute scientists for timely developing Corona medicine Coronil. 

Swami Ramdev went on to add that drug manufacturing companies made medicines to sell while his company develops medicine to heal. "So, those whose business was getting hit made a cartel and started bad mouthing Coronil."
