Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd (NSE: COLPAL), known for its popular toothpaste brand Colgate, has a strong track record of giving good dividends to its shareholders. The FMCG major has announced 57 dividends since July 2001. For the financial year 2021-22 only, the company announced a total dividend of Rs 40 per equity share.
The company has now announced that it may consider declaring an interim dividend.
"Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, inter alia, to approve and take on record the Unaudited Financial Results for the quarter ended September 30, 2022 and to consider the declaration of interim dividend (if any)," Colgate Palmolive said in an exchange filing.

In the exchange filing, the FMCG said that it has fixed November 1, 2022 as the record date for the payment of interim dividend.
"Further, the Company has fixed November 1, 2022 as the Record Date for the payment of aforesaid interim dividend if declared by the Board of Directors at the said meeting," it said.
Meanwhile, the share price of Colgate Palmolive India was trading at around Rs 1,568 at 3:17 pm with a total rise of 0.99 per cent.
The share of Colgate Palmolive India was at its all-time high on April 15, 2015 when it traded at Rs 2,198. Its all-time low was Rs 342.30 on July 17, 2008.
The 52-week average of Colgate Palmolive is Rs 1,724 and Rs 1,375. In the past year, the scrip has given a negative return of 6.44 per cent.
