Coal India on Friday reported double-digit growth in the top line, while the bottom line slipped year-on-year in the second quarter of the financial year 2021-22 (Q2FY22). The company’s consolidated profit slipped 0.6 per cent to Rs 2932.73 crore in Q2FY22, compared to Rs 2951.6 crore in Q2FY21.

Similarly, Coal India’s revenue grew over 13 per cent to Rs 23,921.08 crore in the July-September quarter as compared to Rs 21,153.07 crore in the same quarter a year ago period.   

The raw coal production during the quarter jumped 9.4 per cent to 125.83 million tonne as against 114.95 million tonne YoY. Similarly, raw coal off take grew almost 10 per cent to 147.43 million tonne from 134.33 million tonne YoY, the company said in a press statement.
