The Indian market extended weakness for the sixth straight day, failing to close in the green on a single day this week, as it ended with around half percent cuts on Friday.

The broader Nifty50 declined 0.4% to end near 15,300, while the Sensex dropped by over 100 points to settle near 51,400 as the market witnessed some last minute recovery.  

Underperforming the benchmark indices, Nifty midcap and smallcap declined by nearly 1% and 0.7% respectively.  

Sectorally, Banking and Financial Services indices gained, while Oil & Gas, Pharma, Consumer Durables and IT took the maximum drubbings as the market dragged for the sixth day in stretch.

Among stocks, Bajaj Twins, JSW Seel, Reliance Indsutries, Coal India, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and ITC were among few gainers in a weak market on Friday.  

Titan, Wipro, Shree Cements, HDFC Life, BPCL, Dr Reddy's, Sun Pharma and Asian Paints declined the most.
