The domestic equity market ended with minor cuts as benchmarks made some last minutes recovery on Thursday to end lower by around 0.15%.

Broader Nifty50 managed to close above 17,200 and the S&P BSE Sensex dropped 89 points as indices ended flat with negative bias.

Outperforming benchmark indices, Nifty midcap and small indices settled with around 0.50% gains. IT, metal, Pharma, healthcare, oil& gas sectors too saw buying interest in falling market.
On the other hand, Private Bank, Consumer Durables and Financial stocks took the maximum beatings in a session dominated by weak global cues.
Dr Reddy's, Coal India, Hindalco, Ultratech Cement, Tech Mahindra, RIL, Tata Steel, ITC , TCS gained in a volatile session.
Kotak Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Titan, HDFC Limited, Maruti, M&M, IndusInd Bank and State Bank declined the most.
